Duty Free Mt Difficulty

The customs department makes no allowance for fine Pinot Noir when enforcing the 100ml rule for carry on luggage and we sometimes hear sad stories of Single Vineyard Pinot Noir being destroyed!

If you’re from Australia and visiting Mt Difficulty during your stay in Queenstown there’s now no need to stress about packing your wine purchases into your suitcases.  If you’re on a direct flight back to Australia from Queenstown you’ll be excited to see the beautiful Mt Difficulty display at Duty Free Stores New Zealand in Queenstown.  Joyce and her team stock almost the entire range of Mt Difficulty’s wines, including Single Vineyard Pinot Noir and some Roaring Megs.

The staff at Queenstown Duty Free recently enjoyed a wine tasting by Mike Herrick, Mt Difficulty’s Marketing Manager, and were encouraged to visit the Mt Difficulty Cellar Door and Restaurant.  Last week Claudia and Emily, two of the store’s top salespeople, enjoyed lunch on a brilliantly sunny spring afternoon.  The gilrs were captivated by the experience – on days like this one the magical spell weaved by Mt Difficulty is hard to resist!
